How to Bridge USDC from Keplr to Prax Wallet on Penumbra

If you’re holding USDC in your Keplr wallet and want to bridge it into Penumbra where assets are shielded by default, this guide walks you through every step. In a few minutes, you’ll move your funds from a Cosmos chain into end-to-end encrypted, private balances on Penumbra.


What You Need Before You Start

  1. Keplr Wallet
    • Installed and funded with USDC (e.g., on Osmosis, Noble)
    • Ensure you have enough ATOM/OSMO for gas if needed

  2. Prax Wallet
    • This is the private wallet interface used to access the Penumbra zone
    • Visit app.penumbra.zone and connect

Step-by-Step Guide: How to bridge any asset from Keplr Wallet to Prax Wallet


1. Connect your Prax Wallet and access your portfolio

2. Approve Wallet Connection

  • Your Prax Wallet will prompt a connection request

  • Click Approve

3. Initiate a Deposit into Penumbra

  • In the portfolio dashboard, click on the “Shield Funds” tab

  • Choose “Deposit (Skip)”
  • Enter the amount of USDC you want to bridge (e.g., 0.5 USDC)

  • Confirm the source network (e.g., Osmosis) and destination as Penumbra

  • You’ll see a breakdown of the transfer:


    • 0.5 USDC on Osmosis → 0.5 USDC on Penumbra

  • Click Send to proceed

4. Choose Destination Wallet

  • Confirm your transfer by double-checking the amount and networks

  • Click the button to set the destination address

  • Select Prax Wallet as your destination


6. Review Final Confirmation Page

  • You’ll see your USDC listed under:


    • Source: Osmosis

    • Destination: Penumbra

7. Approve and Submit Transaction

  • Confirm the transaction and wait for it to process

  • Once complete, you’ll see USDC in your Prax Wallet under the “Shielded Funds” tab



8. View Transaction History (Optional)
